R. Kelly sentenced to 30 years in prison

Singer R. Kelly was sent to 30 years in prison in a Brooklyn federal court on Wednesday after being convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking in September 2021. 



US District Judge Ann Donnelly sentenced Kelly after she and the court heard Complaints from the victims. She also ordered him to pay a $100,000 fine. The singer, who has been jailed since 2019, faces separate charges of child pornography and obstruction of justice in a federal case in Chicago, where a trial is set for August 1 2022.

Life in the Mirror

Someone lives in my mirror, I know this because, every night, at midnight, my room temperature drops, and I hear a squeaky sound, near my closet, where my mirror stands, and there he was. Three nights ago, as I recall, I was battling with insomnia, I lay helplessly on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I wandered far away from the reality of the world, into my imagination.
