Silence is dangerous

A story and a message all in one piece

A man caught his wife and another man pants down in his matrimonial bed.

It was on a Friday afternoon at about 3 pm, Mr John normally comes home every day in his Mercedes Benz during the late evenings but on that particular day, he parked his car at the nearest car wash close to his street so he can walk down to his house to get a shower and eat before going to a church program where he is the RSVP. He is the sole provider of his family and a senior Human resources manager in a multi-million dollar company in Wuse Abuja. His wife didn't notice he came back because she didn't hear the car sound as usual, he caught his wife red-handed but instead of reacting harshly, he quietly took his power bank, drop his suitcase and leave.

The man that his wife cheats with ran after him and said, "Sir, pls forgive me, I don't know what came over me, ur wife lured me into this, she paid me money and promised me what I can't refuse to take"

Me John looked at him with a furious face but later Fent a smile and walked away, his wife ran before him and knelt on the ground pleading for one last chance while crying bitterly, Mr john never uttered a word but left peacefully. Around 9 pm he came back and quietly took his bath and sat in the parlour where he watched the news until 11 pm, meanwhile, his wife was crying waiting for his return. Out of fear and guilt, his wife called her people to inform them of his act,  explaining how quiet and strange her husband is since he caught her cheating, even called John's best friend to report herself begging him to help her and talk to John to at least say something.

Me John was known for his no-nonsense attitude and a disciplinarian who stands bold to tackle issues furiously, everyone avoids him due to his high level of connection with the top officials and even as an ex-military who goes to any length to get justice, but in this case, he did the clear opposite of himself, their two children were on vacation to visit John's only sister who lives in New York.

That nite his wife cried her eyes out until Mr John went to sleep silently without uttering a word, calls came to his phone several times but he ensured them all that there was no problem, his wife refuses to go to sleep and stayed in the parlour.

The next morning Mr John woke up and dressed to go to morning exercise at the nearest gym, he walked into the parlour and saw his wife's corpse on the ground, she killed herself with a corrosive acid intake due to guilt and fear of the silence from her husband.

Silence is dangerous, what was going through his mind remains unknown, maybe he didn't want to harm that woman, maybe he wanted to settle things amicably or maybe he was waiting for the best time to strike but what killed that woman was emotional torture and fear of what danger the man may be planning or even guilt or conscience.
